Instructions for Recording your Presentation for PAM2021
Recording Guidelines
The deadline for video submissions is March 18th!
Talks will be pre-recorded and submitted as video files to be replayed during the conference. Authors should be available online after their videos are played to answer questions from conference participants.
Please observe the following guidelines when preparing video files of your talks:
- Duration: 8 minutes for talks
- File Format: MPEG-4 (.mp4) file (use the normal H.264 video and AAC audio codecs), optimized for streaming, with a max size of 2GB (per video).
- Video Size: The video should have a minimum resolution of 720p; HD (1280 X 720 or other “720p” setting)
- Audio Quality: please double check your files before submitting to make sure the audio is clear and audible!
- We will post process your video and embed the PAM logo into the lower left corner.
- When creating file names for the videos, please use “PAM2021-<paper#>” as filename for the uploaded video.

Upload Guidelines
There are two steps you need to follow to upload you video:

Please contact Sebastian Böhm with a downloadable link to your video by March 18th, 2021. You can e.g., use Dropbox, Nextcloud, Google Drive or other means to share your video with Sebastian. Please ensure that Sebastian is able to download your video for further processing and later playback during the conference.

Consent to YouTube upload: We plan to place the video of all PAM presentations on YouTube, and link them to PAM 2021 program page to make them publicly available to the community and magnify their visibility and impact.
To include the video of your presentation, we need you to consent by sending an e-mail with the following consent line by March 18 to pam2021-gc@lists.b-tu.de:
I, {YOUR FULL NAME}, hereby grant permission to PAM 2021 conference to publicly release the video of my presentation titled {title of your paper} through YouTube using the license {LICENSE}.

Note that by sending the above one line consent, you understand that video recordings of your presentation may be electronically displayed via the Internet, PAM 2021 webpage, or in the public educational setting. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. This release only applies to your video recording collected as part of the PAM 2021 conference. By responding with your consent line (i.e. signing this release), you acknowledge that you have completely read and fully understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. You hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material for educational purposes.
